District Attorney Howe and Sheriff Denning Do Nothing To Stop Bumble Bee's Courthouse Crime Spree!
San Diego, CA (BB Press, March 9, 2009). Kansas Serial Blackmailer and Founder of Fair Trials in America, Conrad J. Braun, (aka. The Bumble Bee) carried out this threat to commit multiple felonies in the Johnson County Courthouse on March 4, 2009.
After a short news conference announcing his crime spree Braun blackmailed Governor Kathleen Sebelius, Judge Kathleen Sloan, Judge Sarah Welch, and District Attorney Stephen M. Howe, at least according to the complaint used to secure Braun's blackmail conviction.
Shortly after the crime spree, Bumble Bee Braun was surrounded by Sheriff Deputies and asked if he had a video camera. The Deputies were concerned about possible violation K.S.A 21-3828 Interference With Public Business.
In an exclusive interview with Fair Trials In America, Braun stated:
"Well, when we got into the courthouse we were surprised that we had no escort as requested. After checking the directory we could find no courtroom for Judge Anderson, so we returned to security and asked them what's up?"
"Apparently Judge Anderson retired this year so we had to reduce our crime spree to just 4 blackmail felonies."
"After committing the felonies I sat in the waiting area in front of Judge Tatum's courtroom when in waddles Master Deputy T.L. Schoenberger. Now I have known Deputy Schoenberger for 20 years from my old county jail days and he is a good man. He approached my friend inquiring whether he had a camera."
"Well, I could tell my friend was not comfortable. That is a slight under exaggeration! So acting as spokesmen I said, 'Yes, we do have a camera. Have we done something wrong, Officer Schoenberger?'"
He replied, "I just got a call from Judge Sloan upstairs and I am investigating a possible violation of K.S.A. 21-3828 Interference With Public Business, a Class A misdemeanor!"
"Mr. Braun, I am sure you have been around the court long enough to see people walking around here with tags around there necks identifying jurors and witnesses! It is a crime if you have been photographing these people. If fact Fox Channel 4 and KCTV 5 have been trying to get in here for years and even filed lawsuits. What makes you think you can do what they can't do?"
"Before you make videos in the courthouse you must obtain permission from the administrative or presiding judge!"
I replied, "I can assure you Officer Schoenberger, we have no pictures of jurors or witnesses, just me. We were simply documenting multiple blackmail felonies that I just committed in the judges administrative offices. Now I specifically requested an escort and frankly was quite surprised when none was provided. Had an officer accompanied us all this would not have happened. We have documented other felonies in the courthouse on video with no problem. I certainly would not have taken videos if I knew it was prohibited and would have applied for permission had I had reason to believe it was required."
I then offered to let the Deputy view our footage.
Deputy Schoenberger replied, "Look behind me Mr. Braun! See that dome just behind my head. I supervised the installation of these cameras all over the courthouse. These cameras are good. They are really good so we don't need to escort you to provide security in this courthouse! By the way we really miss your black tights. Where were they this morning? I know it was cold but you really look good in the tights."
"I then proceeded to court and blackmailed District Attorney Steven M. Howe in open court. The letter was time stamped and signed by me in the courtroom. To date no arrests have been made for these four felonies." See blackmail letter to District Attorney Stephen Howe here.
So goes a typical day in the life of a Bumble Bee targeting corrupt officials.
